About me
I grew up as a MK (missionary kid) in Papua New Guinea, went to boarding school and eventually returned to live in Australia with my family as a 15 year old. After more of an interesting journey I became a primary school teacher and spent eleven years in a large Asian country teaching, studying and church planting.
Since returning to Australia in 2001 I have continued serving with WEC International in Adelaide, joining the mobilisation team in 2003. My heart is to see South Australian churches passionately involved in mission, particularly planting churches among those peoples who have little opportunity to hear about Jesus, the unreached.
I have recently moved to the western suburbs of Adelaide where I am, among other things, working with a church to see an indigenous church planted among the Vietnamese people.
I love … chatting with friends over coffee, walking, bike riding, kids, teaching of all varieties, doing life together, my family, cooking (Asian food) for friends and family … and GOD!
In Jan ‘08 I moved to Sydney where I continue working as a mobiliser.

Hi Ruth
Great website. So you are leaving beautiful Adelaide for congested Sydney. God does call doesn’ t he. If you want to help us with a Mandarin Church congregation that have no pastor but me and I can only talk to a couple of them, then look me up. If you get stuck for accomodation let me know. Networks.
Hey Ruth,
Thanks for keeping me on your list. I love hearing what God is doing all over the world.
I pray God will bless you richly today, and surprise you with His deep love for you.
Blessings, Polly
Hi Ruth,
Good to see the photos of beautiful Taree, Camp Elim and the Taree farm. Sorry to hear your dad is not well. Barbara’s Mum passed away two weeks ago. So all of our paretns have gone to be with the Lord.
Keep safe and well. Go with the Peace and Grace of God.
